Short (5'9"), fat (340#), bespectacled, gray and brown hair, mustachioed. Born in Evansville, 8/5/57; moved to Smythe's Station, Indiana (now part of Evansville), 1959; moved back to Evansville, 1968; moved to Newburgh, Indiana, 1980; moved back to Evansville, 1981; moved to Georgetown, Indiana, 1995. Married Margaret Jane Lamon, 1980. Three children: Aaron (1981), Sarina (1983), mother of Emilie (2005); and Savannah (1987), mother of Zada (2004). Finalist in National Spelling Bee and quasi-mythical Indiana state champion (beat all other Hoosiers in the bee), 1970. Four baccalaureates: math, 1976; physics, 1978; computer science, 1979, all from the University of Evansville; history, 1995, from the University of Southern Indiana. M.A., 2000, University of Louisville; thesis, "Asilonian Rithmomachy," a reconstruction of the original 11th-century game and a description of the milieu wherein it arose. Presently employed as an editor of legal depositions in Louisville.
